Shubman Gill, the young Indian batter who impressed everyone with his performances in the IPL, has received a special gift from one of the most famous football clubs in the world, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The football club which boasts of players like Messi, Neymar Jr and Mbappe, presented the Indian opener with a PSG jersey numbered 7.
Earlier in an interview in 2022, Gill had earlier mentioned that Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr were his favorite football players. Messi played in Paris for two seasons while Neymar has been at PSG since 2017. Gill recently made a visit to PSG’s home ground Parc des Princes in Paris during his vacation after the World Test Championship (WTC) final loss in England.
The Parisian club had earlier shared a picture of Gill from Parc des Princes, captioning it, “Namaste dosto, here’s India’s favorite cricketer and PSG fan @ShubmanGill at Parc des Princes.
“ नमस्ते दोस्तो, पेश हैं भारत के पसंदीदा क्रिकेटर और पीएसजी के प्रशंसक शुभमन गिल पार्क डी प्रिंसेस में!”
Gill also shared a video of his visit, thanking PSG."Hi everyone, this is Shubman Gill here. I want to thank everyone at PSG for having me, and Ici c'est Paris," he said.
Earlier, Gill was spotted with Manchester City players, where he met Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland after the Sky Blues clinched their first UEFA Champions League (UCL) title and completed their treble.
