The second double-header in the resumed PSL will see Multan Sultans locking horns against Peshawar Zalmi in the Match 21 of second phase of the tournament. Although Sultans won their first match against Karachi Kings, they still stand at the penultimate place on the table with only 4 points from six games so far. Mohamad Rizwan’s men will try to not only win the match but do so with a good margin to improve their poor net rate of -0.099.

Peshawar Zalmi, on the other hand will have to work harder to end their winning drought to secure their berth in the Playoffs. Wahab Riaz and company have won four of their seven matches and are sitting at 3rd position in the table. They won their last match against bottom-placed Quetta Gladiators.

Team News

The Wahab Riaz-led Peshawar Zalmi are set to take on Mohamad Rizwan and Co. A win for either team will take them closer to the Playoffs. Both the teams will take the field on Sunday with the thought of closing the gap towards the top.

Key Players

Mohammad Rizwan- The skipper would like to lead from the front after getting out early in the last game. He will be crucial for his side from behind the stumps as well.

Shoaib Malik- Shoaib is one the most important players for Peshawar Zalmi. Although his knock of 73 was not enough for the side against Qalandars, he has the capability to trouble the opponent bowlers with his hitting ability all around the park. Additionally, he can contribute with the ball if needed.

Wahab Riaz- Peshawar’s skipper with his in-swing yorkers can be troublesome for the Sultan batters. His four overs will be crucial for Peshawar Zalmi.
