The PUBG Mobile 3.9 update is set to bring the action of Transformers into the battlegrounds of the popular battle royale game. Gamers can look forward to a legendary battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron, new features based on the Transformers series, a comic hoverboard, gameplay enhancements, vehicles, and more exciting fresh content in July 2025.

After partnering with popular franchises like anime series (Jujutsu Kaisen, Dragon Ball Super), superhero universes (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Godzilla vs. Kong), and more, PUBG Mobile is set to collaborate with the Transformers franchise for the 3.9 update.

PUBG Mobile 3.9 Update Theme Mode

PUBG Mobile has confirmed the Transformers theme mode in the 3.9 update. The whole of Erangel, as well as Livik, will be transformed into the theme of Transformers. Gamers can look forward to two main hotdrops where they can get the powers, loot, weapons, and items to call Megatron and Optimus Prime.

On the two hotdrops, gamers have a chance to get a special item, the Spacebridge Beacon, which is used to call Optimus Prime and Megatron. Both have unique weapons—Optimus Prime can transform into a truck and can attack with its Axe Slash weapon. On the other hand, Megatron can convert into a tank and attack the opponent.

New Areas and Hoverboard Item

The new areas will be added to the map named New Outpost, which is going to be the hotdrop of the update, where gamers can find one of the most exciting items of the update, the Cosmic Hoverboard. You can ride this hoverboard on the ground as well as in water.

Astro Den

Astro Den is a place on the map where you have to fight using melee weapons. Here you will enter Astro Den to fight enemies as well as other dangers using melee weapons like a bat, bag, pillow, stick, and more. The winner of the fight will get exclusive rewards.

PUBG Mobile 3.9 Update Release Date

Developers have announced the official PUBG Mobile 3.9 update release date set for July 8, 2025. Like previous updates, first Android users will get the update, while iOS players need to wait 2-4 hours more.
