The nationwide ban on PUBG Mobile has resulted in a suspension for Indian teams on the international stage of the game. Tencent has made public the 34-slot distribution of the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2023 Riyadh, which does not include Indian teams. Vampire Esports has received an invitation to participate in the tournament for its spectacular display in the previous edition.

PUBG Mobile officially announced that there will be no Indian teams once again for this year's competition. The tournament will be hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will feature two stages, All Stars and the main event. The All-Stars stage which features 18 teams will begin on July 11 and end on July 13 while the main event is from July 14 to July 16. The main event will include 16 teams. The All-Stars stage is for the fans as the participants will be determined through fan votes.

Last year, 7SEA Esports and Soul Esports participated in the tournament despite the ban on BGMI just days before the event. This suspension is a setback for the ESports industry in the country as BGMI played a big role in its boost in recent years. The game is rumored to come back in the country for 90 days according to reports with some conditions.at this point, neither Krafton nor the government of India has not made any announcements in this regard.
