Rasmus Hojlund, the Danish striker, has had a tough 2024-25 season while playing for Manchester United, scoring just 10 goals and providing four assists in 51 appearances in all competitions. With that, there have been rumours around his future at the Red Devils, with some saying that the 22-year-old might not play for the club next season, while the reports of him getting linked with Inter Milan have also surfaced online.

After joining Manchester United in the summer of 2023 for a deal worth £72 million from Atalanta, it was expected that the youngster will find a way to emulate some of the top strikers in the league, including Erling Haaland from across town, but it hasn’t quite been the case. With Ruben Amorim looking to bolster every position in the current Manchester United squad, the likelihood of Rasmus Hojlund leaving the club can’t be ruled out entirely.

I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United: Rasmus Hojlund

It is especially when Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly looking to reunite with Ruben Amorim, under whom his career took flight at Sporting Lisbon in recent seasons. But, amid all this, when a Danish news outlet Ekstra Bladet had questioned Rasmus Hojlund about his future at Manchester United, he responded by saying, “I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United. I’m looking forward to going on a summer vacation, and then I’m fully dedicated to the project that’s underway.”

The question about rumours of him joining Inter Milan was put forth to him, to which he remarked, “As I’ve told you before, I try to stay away from all that, because it’s both for better and for worse these days. I know I can’t get much out of reading things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030. I expect to play there, so I’m just getting ready for some summer vacation and then hopefully a good pre-season.”

Moreover, at the international level, the form of Rasmus Hojlund isn’t any better, scoring just once for the national team since October 2023, missing out on finding the back of the net during Denmark’s 2-1 win against Northern Ireland a couple of days ago.
