India's off-spinning all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin praised his teammate and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah for his incredible performances, so far, against England. Playing in a five-match Test series, both India and England have won one game each ahead of the third Test in Rajkot.

Across both these games, Jasprit Bumrah has emerged as India's best player with a tally of 15 wickets at an average of 10.67. Complimenting this herculean effort,  Ashwin described Bumrah's performance as ' BoomBall'. Ashwin further congratulated the Mumbai Indians speedster for being the number one Test bowler as per ICC rankings.

This achievement is an Himalayan feat: Ashwin on Jasprit Bumrah

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin said, “The real show stealer is BoomBall.  We saw a little of Jaisball also. Jasprit Bumrah has bowled extraordinarily, being the leading wicket-taker with 14 wickets. He is also the latest number-one Test bowler in the world. A big congratulations from my side. I’m a big fan of him. This achievement is an Himalayan feat.”

The home familiarity has gone missing: Ravichandran Ashwin

Further in the video, R Ashwin opened up about India's diminished dominance at home and cited unfamiliarity with venues as a key reason. The Indian spin bowling great said,  “But in India, because there are so many venues, even for Indian players it’s the first time they are playing a test or even a first-class match in these venues."

"So the home familiarity has gone missing in these cases. Of course, they would have played IPL, T20 or ODI matches here and there. But in playing red ball in a longer format, the familiarity really makes a difference,” he continued.
