England pacer Reece Topley's participation has become doubtful for the upcoming IPL edition as he was ruled out of the PSL following an injury. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) refused to provide NOC to Topley to participate in the upcoming PSL edition due to an injury. Hence as a result of that he will miss the PSL, which begins on February 17. Moreover, the ECB didn't disclose the nature of Reece Topley's injury.

RCB bought Topley for INR 1.90 Crore in 2023,  but the left-arm seamer got ruled out of that edition after his first match following an injury. Topley has a history of injuries, as he missed the IPL 2023, 2022 T20 World Cup and also suffered an injury in the 2023 ODI World Cup held in India.

Reece Topley despite getting ruled out of the upcoming PSL season due to injury, has been signed by MI Emirates in the remainder of ILT20 2024.

To add more worries,  Tom Curran is also struggling with a knee injury, which he sustained while playing for Sydney Sixers in the BBL 2023-24, ruling him out of the reminder  of the season. The severity of Curran's injury remains uncertain, prompting his return to the UK for further evaluation and this development leaves uncertainty over his availability for the upcoming IPL season.

Tom Curran was bought by RCB in the IPL 2024 auction for a price of INR 1.5 Crore.
