Ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction, there is indeed lot of uncertainties around which player will go where for what price and how the bidding war will go in Bengaluru. A lot of permutations and combinations are already going around and amid all this, former Indian cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra has made a shocking statement regarding one player.
Talking about the cricketer, Chopra opined that except Rajasthan Royals (who have Jos Buttler as wicket-keeper/opener alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal), all the franchises would be keen to have him. However, this is when the cricket expert made the statement that Delhi Capitals might not to be too keen to get this player on-board.
While one would wonder who the 44-year-old was talking, the player in focus was none other than India's youngster Ishan Kishan.

"Rishabh Pant would not want to have Ishan Kishan in the same side," said Aakash Chopra in conversation with ESPNcricinfo. He explained that Pant would not be too keen to have another similar player in his side, presumably suggesting that having another young & talented left-handed wicketkeeper would eventually turn out to be a competitor for the DC captain in future.
Talking about Kishan, Chopra explained that 8 franchises will be after him and he could be one of the most expensive players in the mega auction. "He (Kishan) is an opener, a swashbuckling left-handed keeper. He is young, there would be franchises who would be keen to have him in scheme of things for years to come," Chopra said in praise of the former MI player.
It is indeed going to be quite interesting to see the bidding war for Ishan Kishan, who is certainly going to be one of the sought after players during the mega auction. But who will he eventually represent in IPL 2022? Well, all the questions will be answered on Feb 12.
