Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Riyan Parag has found himself at the receiving end of criticism and trolling several times during the Indian Premier League 2023. The 21-year-old cricketer hasn’t been able to perform well in the tournament and with low returns from bat, he has been replaced by the current in-form Dhruv Jurel. Amid his lackluster form, a fan has requested Parag to join RCB, and the all-rounder has responded to it on social media.
The Rajasthan-based franchise has backed Parag for five seasons, but the outcomes have never been fruitful for them. It’d be interesting to know whether the winners of the first IPL season would retain him or not.
A fan requested Riyan to join the Bengaluru-based franchise in the upcoming edition of the IPL. The fan had tweeted a picture of Parag cheering for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the past edition of the tournament and requested him to join the franchise. Parag, in return, reacted to the tweet and re-shared it by writing ‘Ahh memories'. The fans are wondering if the Assam-born cricketer is considering switching the franchise.
Notably, in the 16th edition of the IPL, Parag managed to score only 58 runs in six innings, with an average of 11.60 and a strike rate of 107.40. Talking about Rajasthan Royals, the team sits at number four in the points table. After losing three games in a row, the Sanju Samson side won their fixture against the Kolkata Knight Riders and clinched a notable 9-wicket win.
