In a one-off double-header Tuesday in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Punjab Kings got back to winning ways, handing Chennai Super Kings (CSK) their fourth straight defeat in the ongoing edition. On the back of Priyansh Arya’s 42-ball 103, PBKS posted 219 runs in their 20 overs and then defended the total with ease as they restricted CSK to 201 runs.
As they defended the total at their home ground in Mullanpur, Chandigarh, what was shocking was that Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal got only one over, that too when MS Dhoni walked out on the crease. However, the veteran bowler bowl a brilliant spell, conceding only nine runs in his solitary over, taking the side to 18-run win in IPL 2025.
However, Yuzvendra Chahal’s bowling spell was put aside as the home side finally walked victorious. However, hours after PBKS’ win, RJ Mahvash, who is rumoured to be Chahal’s girlfriend, took to social media to stand in support of the leg-spinner. In a post on Instagram, RJ Mahvash captioned her post, “One for supporting your people through thick and thin and standing behind them like a rock! We are all here for you @yuzi_chahal23”.

The renowned radio jockey and film producer, RJ Mahvash also shared an Instagram story which had some cryptic lines written. “Here to support kings this year �� @punjabkingsipl coz dosti tameez se nibhate hain hum bhai!”
It is to be noted that her story came following Yuzvendra Chahal’s divorce with estranged wife Dhanashree Verma. The duo, who got hitched in an intimate ceremony in 2020, were confirmed to be divorced after the final hearings and all formalities were conducted at the Bandra Family Court. On an Instagram post, a senior journalist Vickey Lalwani cited a source close to the couple and wrote that both Chahal and Dhanashree “never truly got along” due to their different personalities.
