The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will return to action as they take on inaugural title winners, Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday, April 13 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. However, both teams will be vying to go all out in order to reverse their recent loss in the tournament, the RCB will be seen donning a special jersey in what is their sixth fixture in the IPL 2025.

Ahead of the match, the Bengaluru-based franchise confirmed that they will be sporting the green jersey, which has become a tradition over the years for them. It is to be noted that the jersey carries a lot of importance as the franchise aims to raise awareness about conservation and the need to protect environment.

RCB to 'go green' in IPL 2025 match against RR

RCB’s jersey sponsor, PUMA, which is an athleisure brand, took to social media to reveal the franchise’s kit for their upcoming match in the tournament. RCB, a franchise which is often known as a carbon neutral T20 team, aims to become carbon positive as they travel around to speak of this initiative for over a decade now.

Speaking of this initiative, RCB began wearing green jerseys in 2011 as part of their Go Green initiative. Since then, it has been a tradition or them to wear this kit in atleast one match each season.

The Rajat Patidar-led side, who are currently positioned at the fourth place in the IPL 2025 points table, will hope to bounce back as they take on Sanju Samson-led RR in Jaipur. The red and black franchise have been having a mixed season as they kickstarted with two-back-to-back wins and then lost against Gujarat Titans. The Bengaluru-based franchise bounced back with a win over Mumbai Indians, but once again succummbed to the Delhi Capitals in their last match.
