Rajasthan Royals shared their take on the ‘El Clasico’ rivalry by sharing morphed ‘WhatsApp forwards’ of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Adding fun and thrill to the rivalry, the Royals shared morphed images of the football greats in the RR and PBKS jerseys, respectively. The images show Inter Miami great Lionel Messi wearing Rajasthan Royals jersey, whereas Cristiano Ronaldo was wearing Punjab’s jersey.
Notably, RR engaged in a fierce battle with Punjab Kings in a thrilling match on April 13, Saturday. The game saw the 2008 IPL winners clinching victory by three wickets on the second-last ball. Not only this but considering their last few records, fans have started to hail Punjab-Rajasthan games as the real El-Clasico. Since 2020, both teams have played eight matches, where seven of them turned out to be last-over finishes.
Since Ronaldo and Messi are considered the greatest football rivals, RR added fuel to the fire by sharing their morphed images and labelled them as ‘WhatsApp forwards ’.
MI-CSK ke baad apni hi viewiership hai: Sanju Samson
After another nail-biting clash between Punjab and Rajasthan, the latter’s skipper Sanju Samson could be heard claiming that their match is the real El-Clasico. In a video posted by Punjab Kings after the game, RR spinner Yuzvendra Chahal could be heard talking to Harpreet Brar, Jitesh Sharma, Prabhsimran Singh, where they were discussing how their games have been so thundering and last-over affairs.
Sanju Samson joined the conversation and told Chahal, “MI CSK ke baad apni hi viwership hai.” Notably, the game saw RR clinching their fifth win in the tournament to further consolidate their position at the top of the standings.
