Now 10 years later, his son, Arjun Tendulkar played his first match for the Mumbai Indians.

The 23-year-old kicked off proceedings with the ball for Mumbai and bowled two solid overs at an economy of 8.50 giving away 17 runs.  Celebrating this monumental moment, Sachin penned an emotional note talking about this game is the start of a ‘beautiful journey’ in his professional cricket career.

The caption of the post said, “Arjun, today you have taken another important step in your journey as a cricketer. As your father, someone who loves you and is passionate about the game, I know you will continue to give the game the respect it deserves and the game will love you back. You have worked very hard to reach here, and I am sure you will continue to do so. This is the start of a beautiful journey. All the best!”
