The Indian team is currently playing a five-match T20I series against South Africa and as many as 3 wicket-keepers are a part of India's playing XI with likes of Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik being in the squad. The number could easy have been 4 if KL Rahul wouldn't have injured himself right before the start of T20I series in New Delhi. When the selection committee sat together to announce T20I series squad for South Africa series, they didn't name another prominent star Sanju Samson.
Sanju Samson was left out of the squad after having not-so-memorable IPL with the bat. Sanju Samson started off the season well with a couple of good knocks. However, in the long tournament, Sanju lost his touch and eventually started to get out for low scores. Eventually, he also lost his place in the India squad.
Even after getting dropped from the squad, Sanju continued to train hard and shared his progress through social media channels. He took to Instagram and wrote - "Top Session ???❤️"
Here's the post
Many former cricketers and commentators still believe that Sanju Samson can be a good inclusion for India for T20 World Cup squad which is scheduled to be played in Australia later this year. Sanju Samson likes bouncy wickets, and ball comes nicely onto the bat in Australian conditions which can help him and India to score vital runs.
