Team India captain Shubman Gill has hit the headlines again. Gill is currently under pressure as India captain after the side’s loss against England in the third Test held at the iconic Lord’s. In the game, Gill struggled to be among the runs as he scored only 16 and six from his bat. The fourth Test will be played at the Old Trafford Stadium in Greater Manchester and Gill will be expected to lead the team from the front as the upcoming contest will be a do-or-die for the visitors as the defeat in this match will end their chances of series triumph.

Amidst these scenes, Shubman Gill is in news for his viral video which has emerged from Yuvraj Singh’s charity program which took place in London the previous week. In a viral clip, Shubman can be seen sitting on a dining table with his back facing towards Sara Tendulkar. In the video, Sara turns her head to see towards the direction where Shubman’s face is. A social media user Jeet edited the video with the Bollywood movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge's dialogue, “Raj agar yeh tujhe pyaar karti hai toh palat ke dekhegi palat ke.” The video has attracted attention as Sara turns her face towards Gill when the palat word ends.

Shubman Gill’s batting performance in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025

Shubman Gill is the highest run-getter in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, notching up 607 runs in six innings of three matches. He has accumulated three tons in this competition. In the third Test, he couldn’t do wonders with his bat but in the do-or-die match in Greater Manchester, he will look to be at his best.

In 2014, when India and England played against each other in Greater Manchester, the hosts gave a thumping to the visitors by an innings and 54 runs. India have never won any red-ball contest in Greater Manchester and Gill will look to break this hoodoo with his leadership.
