Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has taken a jibe at the Shubman Gill-led Team India following the 22-run loss at the hands of the home side in the Lord’s Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Vaughan poked fun at the visitors for their knack of losing wickets ahead of a session hiatus. It has been noted in the last three Tests that India have lost wickets against the hosts on a couple of occasions. In the Lord’s Test, Nitish Kumar Reddy fell on the final delivery of the fifth day’s opening session.

Noting these instances, Vaughan has made fun of Team India players saying that they can only have the lunch only if they are dismissed. He also called the Gill-led side an inexperienced pack. "They obviously like the food here. The thing about the lunches is that they can have them if they're obviously dismissed. That's just (loss of) concentration. You've played enough cricket to understand that. The more you think about batting differently towards the end of a session, the more you're probably going to get out. You've just got to naturally play. Just naturally play. That's just a mentality thing that this team has to get better at. I guess the inexperience of the group; They're an inexperienced group," said Vaughan.

Team India expected to bounce back in the fourth Test at Old Trafford

Team India will be expected to bounce back in the fourth Test to be played at Old Trafford from July 23 onwards. If India loses the fourth Test, their dream of winning a Test competition on England soil after 2007 will be extended. Before the crucial contest, it’s crucial to revisit India’s Test record in Manchester.

At the Old Trafford, India have played nine Tests against England, in which they lost four while five contests ended in a stalemate. Noting these numbers, India will be expected to do something extraordinary to extract their first triumph on this ground.
