India skipper Rohit Sharma praised his wife Ritika Sajdeh for her support during his matches. Sharma and Shreyas Iyer appeared on the second episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, where they were joined by Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, who is also his manager. During the show, Kapil asked several questions to the cricketers on several aspects of their life and career.
In between the interactions, Kapil asked Sharma if any player requested him not to hit sixes in a game because their girlfriend was present at the stadium. The former Mumbai Indians captain responded and said that such types of conversation have taken place but for him, his wife is more important as she supports them throughout the matches by keeping her fingers crossed.
Sharma told the host, “Yes, we have had conversations like this, but I tell them ‘While your girlfriend is there at the stadium, I have my wife watching the match. She keeps her fingers crossed throughout the match, and hence, she is more important to me.” His response garnered applause from the audience and the clip of the same has gone viral on social media. Not only this, but during the show, Sharma also asked Ritika if "Rohit is tougher to manage as a captain or as a husband?”
Ritika answered, “As a husband. As a captain, he has his team to manage him so I don’t have anything to do.” Rohit quickly responded, “She is not allowed to enter the dressing room, but I have to enter the house. She is the captain there.” Sharma is currently participating in the IPL 2024, where his side, Mumbai Indians registered their first win of the season, by defeating Delhi Capitals on April 7, Sunday.
