The Australian player shared that he was keen for tennis to follow golf’s venture into Saudi investment and the massive financial rewards it brings. Taking to Twitter, Kyrgios expressed that this move would allow tennis players to get paid the money they deserve.

Nick Kyrgios tweeted, "Finally. They see the value," he tweeted above a report of the talks between the Saudis and ATP. "We are going to get paid what we deserve to get paid. Sign me up." The Aussie finished his tweet with multiple money-bag emojis.

Coming back to the reports regarding the Saudi Arabian influence over tennis, Australian Open chief Craig Tiley expressed that Saudi investment in tennis will not create an impact like the country's disruptive entry into golf because the talks will be focused on strengthening the current structures of tennis.

"What's different to what we're seeing [in other sports] is this is an investment in the current structure of the game and not an investment in an alternative option," Tiley told reporters. "But like everything in the world, there's lots of changes always going on. So you've got to watch what's going on and stay close to it. But, ultimately, that's a decision for the men's and the women's tour."
