Former Ultimate Fighting Championship Featherweight and Lightweight champion Conor McGregor recently shared an update on his leg injury from UFC 264. The Notorious One suffered this injury in the trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier last July and has been recovering from the injury over the past few months. The 33-year-old made an Instagram post saying, “Soon this injury will be a distant memory on my Martial Arts journey.”

He posted with a caption, "Day 3 back boxing without issue!"

While speaking with the Mirror Fighting, McGregor talked about his possible return to the octagon. He said, "Soon, it's getting there. April I should be back sparring."

"I'll gauge it all then - I'd like a title, a title, I'd feel a belt. We'll see what happens with the weight, I'm feeling nice and strong, I'm getting there day-by-day,”, he added

The Irishmen also discussed how he is still capable of competing at the highest level. “I'm only 33 years of age, I'm unscathed, never been bust-up in the face, never scratched in the face so I'll be back. I'm advised to take it easy, but I'm shadowboxing a lot and I'm figuring out what way I'm developing a style”, he said.

UFC President Dana White had also hinted about Conor McGregor’s return but had also given out conditions of health, scheduling and Champion’s approval for the fight. He said, "There's a lot of variables that have to come together for him [McGregor] to come back and fight.”

“ No. 1 is health and how's his leg, once that's 100 per cent, then we'll start to figure out where he goes. We have fights made all the way up until June 18 already. Once he's 100 per cent ready to go, we'll get him figured out and see what's what with the lightweight division."

"If you look at Oliveira, if it's still Oliveira by the time [McGregor] comes back, maybe he wants Conor. Who knows. We'll see what happens,” concluded White.
