Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell scored a historic 201* to chase down the 292-run target against Afghanistan on Tuesday in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023. With this victory, the five-time champions booked their semi-final berth in the CWC 2023. After his spectacular knock, the 35-year-old Maxwell expressed his gratitude towards fans and also lauded skipper Pat Cummins for his support at the other end during the chase.

Apart from that, Glenn Maxwell and Pat Cummins stitched up an unbeaten 202-run partnership to become the first batting pair to record a 200-plus run partnership in ODI history for an 8th (or) lower wicket.

Sorry I knocked back a couple 🫣  Time to get back to dad duties 👨‍👩‍👦❤️"
