Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian captain and BCCI President, met with a car accident on Thursday night, February 20, at the Durgapur Expressway in the rural areas of Hooghly in the West Bengal state. Fortunately, the 52-year-old escaped the accident unharmed, and the people travelling in the convoy didn’t sustain any injuries before he was able to continue with his scheduled event in Burdwan.
Notably, while there were no physical injuries sustained by anyone in the accident last night, it is understood that a couple of vehicles in his convoy were damaged in a minor way. As per the report from News18, Sourav Ganguly was reportedly travelling in a Range Rover moving at a normal speed before a truck hit it from behind, and after sudden brakes were applied by the driver, it led to the other vehicles in the convoy colliding with each other.
After Sourav Ganguly waited for ten minutes on the Durgapur Expressway in the rural areas of Hooghly in the West Bengal state, when the situation was brought under control, he left for the program in the University of Burdwan. Over there, the former Indian captain talked with the students and dignitaries, and the accident was a thing of the past just like that.
