The much-awaited Border Gavaskar Trophy kick starts from February 9 (Thursday). The Rohit Sharma & Co. will be back on the field with the first Test scheduled to start on February 9 in Nagpur. The Men in Blue will aim to seal the WTC Final berth with this series win at home. Apart from this, there are two T20 matches also lined up for the day. With ILT20 and SA20 reaching the business end, SA20 will see the second semifinal while the ILT20 will host the Eliminator on Thursday.
In football, a Premier League match is scheduled for the day with Manchester United hosting Leeds at the Old Trafford. A FA Cup match is also scheduled for the day. Cristiano Ronaldo will also take the field on Thursday (9 February) as his side Al Nassr takes on Al Wehda.
