First day of a new year. What a beginning to start the new 365 days of a year. With the new year setting in and with new beginnings for a lot many, the sports world too has some exciting tournament and events lined-up for the year 2023.

All major international cricket matches have an off day on January 1, there is T20 action definitely taking place Down Under. With the Big Bash league just getting intense with day-to-day matches, a double header is scheduled for the Super Sunday. While Melbourne Renegades will take on Perth Scorchers in the first match of the day, Brisbane Heat will lock horns with Sydney Sixers in the second match.
There are two Premier League matches also scheduled for Sunday, along with nine NBA matches from the regular season.
