The Lankans finally registered a win in the Asia Cup where their batting proved to be the difference maker after their bowlers conceded 183 runs. Asitha Fernando and Wanindu Hasaranga were the main culprits as they went for a combined 92 runs in their eight overs. In the batting department, Kusal Mendis and Dasun Shanaka emerged as the top performers as both batters carried the team to the verge of victory.
