With the culmination of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, the action will now move towards the much-anticipated World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 Final, which is scheduled to be played at the iconic Lord’s in London from June 11 to 15. However, this time, the Men in Blue failed to make through the final, but it will be a fierce battle between Australia and South Africa.
As the tournament comes closer, the Protea Men have reportedly signed former England pacer and one of the greats of the game, Stuart Broad for a short coaching stint. As per reports citing The Telegraph, Stuart Broad is set to join the South African side as bowling consultant for the WTC Final against Australia.

However, neither the Cricket South Africa, nor the ICC have confirmed the move, if it is true, this is set to be his first coaching role since retiring from cricket in 2023. Furthermore, the reports in Telegraph stated that Broad will attend Proteas training on June 9 at the Lord’s.
It is to be noted that Broad has 604 wickets to his name from 167 Tests, which is second in England’s all-time list. Surprisingly, out of the 604, he has taken 153 of them against Australia, which tends to be the most by any player in red-ball cricket. Furthermore, Broad boasts of a strong record at the Lord’s, scalping 113 wickets in 28 Test matches.
