Former cricketer Suresh Raina backed young fast bowler Harshit Rana to be the ‘X factor’ for Team India in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025. During his commentary stint in the ongoing opening match of the tournament between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi, Raina said that Rana has enough pace and showed good form in the recently ended white-ball series against England.
Notably, Harshit Rana was recently ended in India’s Champions Trophy squad after star pacer Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out because of injury concerns. Rana made his ODI debut in the recently ended series against England and ended up taking six wickets in three ODIs “Harshit Rana has pace. He was recently seen in good form in the T-20 and ODI series against England. In such a situation, if India goes with him, he can prove to be the X factor for India in the Champions Trophy,” Suresh Raina said on Sports18 during live telecast of Pakistan vs New Zealand Champions Trophy 2025 match 1.
Will Young, Tom Latham guide New Zealand to big total after early wickets

After that,, Will Young and Tom Latham took charge of the innings as the duo put up a partnership of 118 runs for the fourth wicket.
Will Young went on to score his fourth ODI hundred as he got out after scoring 107(113) runs hitting 12 fours and a six. On the other hand, Tom Latham also completed his fifty in 61 balls and still at the crease taking the innings further.
