WWE veteran R-Truth suffered a horrific quad injury during his NXT match against Grayson Waller last week. Since then Ron Killings, the man behind the R-Truth persona, updated the wrestling world about the extent of the injury and received a lot of support from fellow wrestlers in the promotion.

Truth recently posted a heartwarming message for all the wishes and also gave a major update on his recovery. He appreciated all the support and stated that the surgery was a success and that he will give another important update soon.

The tweet said, “I really really appreciate the support and love im receiving from all of you!!  I can’t say thank you enough🙏🏾, Surgery went well, stay tuned.. #whatitis.

Going back to R-Truth’s injury, the 50-year-old went down after botching up his Tope Con Giro from the top rope. As Truth suffered the injury, the referee had to stop the bout. Immediately, the NXT medical squad rushed to the ring and escorted him backstage.

Hours after the incident, Killings posted a video where he talked about how he will be undergoing a surgery as he tore his quad tendon. He said, "Hey, hey, hey what's up. Hey y'all. First off, I wanna thank each and every one of y'all for your concerns, your goodwills, your prayers, your support. Yes, unfortunately, I got hurt. I hit that kryptonite. I did tear my quad tendon and I'm at surgery now as we speak. I'll be going in so yeah. It is what it is. I'll be back. I wanna thank you. I'll be back before y'all knew. Alright, peace."

R-Truth has been the pulse of the promotion ever since he made his debut in the WWE during the iconic Attitude Era as K-Kwik. Then as the company transitioned out of the Attitude Era, Killings brought the R-Truth, who garnered instant stardom thanks to his battles with John Cena. In his career, Truth has won multiple titles like the Tag Team Championships, two United States Championships and the WWE 24x7 championship.
