Tamil Nadu Cricket Association’s domestic T20 tournament, Tamil Nadu Premier League is set to return with its eighth edition with the league matches set to start from July 5 onwards. The matches will be hosted in five cities, thus following the same caravan format as the previous seasons. Salem, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, and Dindigul are the preferred venues.
The tournament will be played in the round-robin format with all the teams scheduled to play against each team in the league stage. Following that, the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs and the final game will be held at Chepauk on August 4.
There will total of seven doubleheaders in the tournament with the evening games are set to commence at 7:15 and afternoon games at 3:15 P.M. Alongside it, the Decision Review System (DRS) will also be available for all the matches.
