Tamil Nadu's B Sai Sudharsan takes sensational catch to get rid of Sharath BR in Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 final

Karnataka ended up with a total of 151-7 with Abhinav Manohar top-scoring with 46. While it looked like it might not be enough, the Karnataka bowlers have made a match out of it as the required run rate of the chasing side has climbed up to 11.4 with 5 overs to go.

The Syed Mushtaq Ali 2021 is heading towards its end. The titular clash is happening between defending champions Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. With a chance to win a trophy, both sides are giving it their all at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. It was evident by the way Tamil Nadu cricketer B Sai Sudharsan completed a sensational catch to get rid of Karnataka's Sharath BR.

It happened in the second ball of the 14th over being bowled by Sai Kishore. While Karnataka needed a strong finish to reach a competitive total and wanted to score a few boundaries, Tamil Nadu were looking for a few wickets to restrict Karnataka to as low a total as possible.

Realising the need for big hits, Sharath threw his bat in the second ball of the over getting some width, however, it wasn't the sweetest of connection and while it looked like it would evade the fielder and fall safely as the batter had taken the aerial route, Sai Sudharsan completed a brilliant catch, ran backwards and then had to put in a dive to reach the ball.

The video of his efforts can be watched in the video on BCCI's official website.
