After a couple of poor results and amid heavy backlash from the experts, Indian vice-captain KL Rahul finally redeemed himself in the ongoing T20 World Cup on November 2 (Wednesday) as he scored his maiden fifty in the edition against Bangladesh. The 30-year-old right-handed batter scored 50 off 32 deliveries with the help of four maximums and three boundaries before being dismissed by Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan.

Earlier, Rahul had 9, 4 and 9 in the first three games in the ICC tournament, and the batter was facing massive criticism from all quarters for his inability to perform in high-stake games. However, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid backed the batter on the eve of the India vs Bangladesh clash and termed him a 'high-quality' batter.

While batting first, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma returned to the pavilion with 2-runs, but KL Rahul rose to the occasion as he added crucial runs on board before returning to the dugout. The incredible innings from KL Rahul invoked several Indian cricket fans who expressed their joy on Twitter over Rahul getting back into form. Check out reactions.
