Chennai Super Kings opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad's exclusion from the T20I series against West Indies was seen as surprise by many fans and cricket experts but later he was appointed as captain of Team India for the Asian Games and notably, in this series he has been named as vice-captain of the side. Gaikwad may finally get an opportunity to perform for India after a long time in the absence of key opening batsman Shubman Gill and it will be interesting to see how he will utilize this opportunity.
