India have announced their 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2023 and there have been many surprising inclusions in the side, before the much anticipated big event of WC 2023 which is set to be hosted at different Indian venues in a span of less than 50 days.
Sanju Samson will also be travelling with the Indian team squad as reserve wicket-keeper along with other squad members like KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan. Here, in this article, we will see about three players who shouldn't have been selected for the Indian team squad in Asia Cup 2023.
1. Tilak Varma: 
Tilak Varma who hasn't even made his ODI debut has got a call-up to the Indian team squad for Asia Cup 2023 after seeing his stunning performance in the five-match T20I series against West Indies. The call to select Tilak Varma on the basis of his T20 form in a big ODI tournament like the Asia Cup didn't go well with many of the cricket fans.
Tilak Varma isn't likely to start playing XI for the Indian side but he may get opportunities if the team decides to experiment in the group stage game against Nepal.
