The Day 5 at Tokyo Olympics 2020 produced another thrilling day of sporting action in the capital of Japan. The hosts continued their impressive campaign as they held on to the top spot after clinching few more medals on Wednesday. Japan's Daiki Hashimoto secured the gold medal after his brilliant performance in Men's Artistic Individual all-round event.
Talking about India, there wasn't any major medal event as such apart from Rowing where they did not realistically stood a chance. Although there were a few positives for India with Pooja Rani, PV Sindhu and Deepika Kumari progressing to the next round, they fell down to 43rd position in the standings.
