After two years of hiatus due to COVID pandemic, much-awaited 2022 TwitchCon is all set to treat its fans as the latest version will take place at the San Diego Convention Centre in California. As per the event's website, the convention is scheduled from October 7 to 9 at 8:00 AM, each day.
Earlier, 2022 European TwitchCon, a European leg of the event was organised in Amsterdam and was instant success, recording an estimated 14.5K people in attendance. Speaking of the event, TwitchCon is a bi-annual event organised by Amazon-owned platform to bring together creators and their fans under the same rood, paving the way for proverbial streaming festival.
The upcoming San Diego convention will feature diverse fun activities like Artist, exhibitions for drag artists, Twitch Rivals event, charity zone, community panels for discussions, meet and greet opportunities, expo floor and Loot Cave among other ventures. Twitch had earlier announced that xQc, HasanAbi, AriaSaki, GeorgeNotFound, LIRIK, NICKMERCS, EsfandTV, Scarra, Pokimane, Symfuhny, and ShahZam, will be present during the event's meet and greet. According to event's website, there will be 12 separate meet and greet sessions across all three days.
TwitchCon 2022 Ticket:
Twitch has released a set of three different tickets at varying prices. As per the website, one day ticket will cost $129. Two-day and three-day tickets will cost $199 and $229 , respectively. As per reports, all the tickets have been sold out and those looking out to purchase a three-day ticket will have to wait until next year.
TwitchCon 2022 Special events:
Twitch has already made it clear the inclusion of musical artists who are expected to perform the TwitcCon Party. The pirple-platform has announced American rapped Megan Thee Stallion, German songwriter Kim Petras, and American music group Meet Me at the Altar. Additionally, they will be joined by DJ Lani Love and TIGERMOMTOY who will provide beats during the music event.
TwitchCon 2022 Gaming events:
TwitchCon convention will see the return of Twitch Rivals featuring Fortnite. As per details available on the website, various streamers will line up to participate in a no-build Fortnite competition. Some of the names expected to feature are alexcod556, Archie, building, crrr and Easiness (among others).
