After South Africa won the 1st T20I against Ireland by 33 runs, the stage was set for the second match of the series in Belfast on Thursday. After winning the toss, the visitors decided to bat first and the plan was simple - Post runs on the board and put pressure on Ireland. However, things turned upside down for Temba Bavuma's men in the first half of their innings as they lost two wickets in the first over itself.

Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram did show some fight but the Irish bowlers were all over the Proteas. With the score reading 38/4 after 6.1 overs, David Miller walked out to bat to try and revive South Africa's innings. Although it was an uphill task ahead of him, the left-handed batsman not just took his side out of the trouble but instead put them in such a formidable position going into the mid-innings break.

Miller scores 75* off 44 balls in 2nd T20I

The 32-year-old did take some time to get into his rhythm as he took a cautious approach in the very first over he faced. However, he slowly started going after the bowlers as he started punishing every bad delivery that he faced. Miller completed his half-century in 37 balls in the penultimate over of the innings and the stage was set for an explosive finish.

As Joshua Little came to bowl the final over, Miller welcomed him by smashing a huge six over mid-wicket region. The Irish pacer responded with two decent deliveries as the left-handed batsman could only hit the ball towards long on fielder and refused to take singles. While fans would have wondered if it was a right decision or not, Miller certainly justified it by smoking three consecutive sixes off the final three balls to take South Africa's total to 159/7 in 20 overs.

The netizens were undoubtedly impressed with David Miller's spectacular knock as he once again bailed South Africa out of a horrible situation. The 32-year-old smashed 4 fours and 5 sixes in his breathtaking knock, batting at strike-rate of 170.45. Notably, Miller smashed 24+ runs in the final over of a T20I innings for the third time in last four years.
