UFC Title Fights: Check the schedule for upcoming title bouts in 2022

UFC 280 will feature two title bouts on October 22 while two more title fights are scheduled to take place in the UFC 281 on November 12.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will witness action-packed title fights in the next two months as the vacant lightweight, bantamweight, middleweight and women's strawweight titles will be on the line in October and November.

The year 2021 was one of the most successful and exciting years in the history of UFC and the expectations are high with the upcoming title fights in 2022. UFC 280 will feature two title bouts on October 22 while two more title fights are scheduled to take place in the UFC 281 on November 12.

Here are all the details about the upcoming UFC title fight in 2022:

UFC 280 Schedule: October 22 at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi

Charles Oliveira vs Islam Makhachev (vacant lightweight title): The lightweight title has been vacant since Brazilian fighter Charles  Oliveira was ripped off his belt for missing weight ahead of his last fight against Justin Gaethje. However, a new fighter will be crowned as the lightweight champion after the bout between Oliveira and Russian fighter Islam Makhachev in the main card event of UFC 280. The Iranian-American fighter, Beneil Dariush is said to be the replacement for Oliveira in the title fight if anything falls apart.

Aljamain Sterling vs TJ Dillashaw (bantamweight title): Other co-main event on October 22 features bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling taking on former titleholder TJ Dillashaw. After the initial schedule for the bantamweight title bout on September 10 was pushed back due to some changes, Sterling will look for his second title defense against  Dillashaw on October 22.

UFC 281 Schedule: November 12 at the Madison Square Garden In New York City

Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira (middleweight title): The UFC Middleweight championship fight will take place between defending champion Israel Adesanya and former Light Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira on November 12 in New York. The pair have faced each other twice in kickboxing fights with Pereira winning both fights in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

Carla Esparza vs Zhang  Weili (women’s strawweight title): The two-time defending champion, American MMA fighter  Carla Esparza will take on the likes of Chinese fighter  Zhang Weili in the women's strawweight championship on November 12 at the  Madison Square Garden .  The inaugural UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion, Esparza defeated Rose Namajunas in their rematch to win her second title.
