In one of the rarest occurrences in the game of cricket , a 12-year-old boy claimed a ‘double hat-trick’ in an over during a match of his club. The young boy was playing for Bromsgrove Cricket Club against Cookhill on June 9, Friday, and where even a single hat-trick in one over is considered a big deal, the young lad ended up taking two. However, his exceptional performance didn’t end up there and Whitehouse ended up taking eight wickets across two overs without conceding even a single run.

It goes without saying that such achievements often leave an everlasting impression in the cricketing world and are generally the beginning of a promising career. On this feat of Oliver, Jayden Levitt, the captain of the first team of Oliver's club told the BBC, "I couldn't believe the significance of what he had achieved. It's absolutely amazing to get a double hat-trick in one over is absolutely mind-blowing, it's an amazing effort and I think he probably won't realise the significance until he's a lot older.”

Not only this, but Whitehouse was also left amazed with his achievement and later he said that he was unable to process what had happened earlier. Whitehouse is a left-arm spinner, and his sporting prowess should come as no surprise as he happens to be the grandson of Ann Jones, the Wimbledon Champion of 1969.
