An Indian esports tournament organizer and gaming company Upthrust Esports is set to make an appearance in the latest episode of Shark Tank India. The episode will air tonight on 7th February at 22:00 (IST) across Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television.
In a promo released by Shark Tank India for the coming week, the Founder and Managing Director - Kartik Sabherwal and Head of Business Development - Vaibhav Rathore of Upthrust Esports were seen making their pitch. In the clip, the duo is seen INR 75,00,000 ($90,664 USD) for 3% equity.

Addressing the release of the trailer, Vaibhav Rathore expressed excitement and stated that he was proud to represent the Indian gaming community on national television. He said, "So happy and proud to represent our Indian Gaming Community on National Television for the very first time in Indian Gaming History!"
Vaibhav is also the head of partnerships for Upthrust Esports and has also worked with Team Celtz and Echo Updates. In a statement released by the company, Vaibhav said "It’s hard to change the traditional mindset of parents and their misconception about gaming. We went on Shark Tank India to make parents aware of esports and how this could be a viable career option as well."
