It was a strange morning for Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal who woke up to an inbox full of memes involving his name. The actor may not be sure of what it was all about and so it took him a little while to understand the whole matter. But as soon as he got what it was all about, he was more than happy to allow fans to go ahead with it.

It all started on Sunday night when users spotted the 'URI' actor's name during a match between India and Bangladesh at the U19 World Cup. While the broadcasters showed the scorecard of Bangladesh's innings, Vicky Kaushal's name was spotted. But not in one place but in bits. With two India U19 players- Vicky Ostwal and Kaushal Tambe- featuring in the scorecard one after the other, it combined to make up Vicky Kaushal's name.

The 'URI' actor was quick to thanks users for spamming him with memes after he understood what it was about. "Thank you internet for spamming me with this today. Best wishes Team India U19," Kaushal wrote on his Instagram story alongside a picture of India vs Bangladesh Under-19 World Cup 2022 scoreboard.

India reach fourth consecutive semifinals

The Men in Blue have completely dominated the U19 World Cup as they reached fourth consecutive semifinal after beating defending champions Bangladesh. The Yash Dhull-led team took the revenge of 2020 World Cup final defeat as they crushed Tigers by 5 wickets. While bowling first India restricted Bangladesh to a mere 111 and they chased it down in 30.4 overs to seal a semifinal berth for themselves.

Ravi Kumar was the star for India as he scalped three wickets in his seven overs. The left-arm seamer did not concede too many runs as well. He gave away only 14 runs in in the seven overs he bowled. Apart from Ravi, Vicky Ostwal also shone with the figures of 9-1-25-2. In batting department, Angkrish Raghuvanshi was the top scorer for India with 44 runs off 65 balls. Captain Yash Dhull and Shaik Rasheed also chipped in with crucial runs to help India chase the total easily.
