While athletes in the country are giving their all to make the country proud of their achievements, a fresh video floating around is once again highlighting the poor treatment with young athletes in the country. In a shocking development, a video of teenage athlete giving a hand and foot massage to centre in-charge Sharmila Tejawat at the Dhar-based Kushabhau Thackeray Special Area Games Centre has surfaced on social media.
Ever since the video went viral on internet, Sports Authority of India is facing lot of embarrassment from the sports fraternity for subjecting the young athletes to such act.
Ever since the video was circulated on social media, it has gone viral and several sports enthusiasts are expressing their shock over the treatment with young athletes in the country. According to report, Sports Authority of India is yet to take any stern action against the Sharmila Tejawat, but kids in centre have reportedly informed that this is regular ritual in the centre and kids are often forced to get indulge into such activity.
"Whatever the video is showing its all truth. We are often forced to give head or foot massage to our coaches," said an athlete to a local reporter. Reportedly, Sharmila Tejawat has refused to comment over the incident.
