During the Punjab Kings’ run chase against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the PCA I.S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali on April 20, Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell were spotted playing ‘Stones, Papers, Scissors’ hand game on camera. At that time, RCB were defending a formidable total of 174 against PBKS and looking to win their third game of the IPL 2023 season.

The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 11th over when Jitesh Sharma was given out lbw by the umpire off the bowling of Harshal Patel and the PBKS wicket-keeper bat took the review. When the third umpire was going through the DRS proceedings, every player had their eyes glued to the giant screen in the stadium but Kohli and Maxwell looked least bothered about the call and decided to play the sought-after hand game instead. Seconds later,  Jitesh Sharma was successful with his review and continued on batting for PBKS.

Mufaddal Vohra, one of the well-known accounts on Cricket Twitter shared the moment with a pic and captioned it, “Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell were playing Stone Paper Scissors during the DRS.” The tweet has now gone viral and fans are having a field day around it on social media.

Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell also quoted a tweet in relation to ‘Stones, Papers, Scissors’ hand game that he had played with Virat Kohli in the field earlier today and teased his fellow RCB teammate by tagging him on the platform as well. His caption read, “ Poor predictable Virat, always goes paper @imVkohli.”

Furthermore, Royal Challengers Bangalore were able to defeat Punjab Kings in a comfortable manner by 24 runs. With that, they earned their third win of the IPL 2023 campaign and moved up the points table in the process.
