
Former India skipper Virat Kohli, who is having a rough-patch in his cricket career, has made it into the list of sports top 10 social media earners. Kohli is the only Indian in the top 10 athletes with highest earning through social media, as he earns more that half a million dollars per post.
Surprisingly, UFC fighter Conor McGregor missed out from the top 10 as he gets €149,000 for every post he collaborates with a brand on.
According to the sports data firm BonusFinder, Virat Kohli is at the fourth place in the list while wrestler and Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson is on the third spot with an earning of $1 million per post on social media. Apart fro m these two, the list includes seven footballers (soccer) and one NBA superstar.
Four-time NBA champion LeBron James stands at the sixth place as his Miami Heat jersey number with a per post earning of $428,601. The debate on the greatest footballer of all-time between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi is perpetual but the Portuguese star wins the top spot in the list by making twice as much as his Argentine counterpart.
While Cristiano Ronaldo earns $2 million, Messi makes $1 million through a single social media post equaling The Rock's per post earning. Lionel Messi's PSG teammate Neymar earns $584,956 per post on social media and placed ahead of LeBron James in the list.
Football superstars David Beckham, Kylian Mbappe, Ronaldinho, and Marcelo are in the bottom four places respectively in the list of sport's top 10 social media earners.
