Former RCB skipper Virat Kohli is back to his usual self after he smashed his maiden IPL ton of the 2023 edition. The RCB mainstay who reached his century in 62 deliveries, equalled Chris Gayle’s record of most hundred in IPL. Not only did he celebrate this moment with the fans and his teammates, Kohli made a special gesture for his wife and Bollywood celebrity Anushka Sharma.
After smashing a century against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on May 18 (Thursday), Virat Kohli was seen making a video call to his wife Anushka. Glimpses of this moment has been going viral on social media, leaving the fans in awe once again.
Not only did this ‘Virushka’ moment end here, Anushka Sharma also shared a Instagram story to congratulate him for this feat. “He is ( dynamite emoji). What an inning!”, Anushka wrote with pictures from the match.
Talking of the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Faf du Plessis-led side won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first. The Aiden Markram-led side posted 186/5 in their 20 overs on the back of a brilliant century knock from wicketkeeper-batter Henrich Klaasen. However, the side could not carry this momentum forward as they lost their final home match by eight wickets, courtesy a brilliant batting performance from the RCB opening duo of Virat Kohli & Faf du Plessis.
