With the BCCI looking to appoint a new Selection Committee after sacking Chetan Sharma-led committee, the board is also looking to bring a new skipper for the three formats. Amid this, even Rahul Dravid’s role as the head coach might come to an end soon.
According to reports, current head coach Rahul Dravid can be replaced by NCA head VVS Laxman. A report by News18 said that Rahul Dravid’s contract as the head coach may not be renewed after the 2023 ODI World Cup. It is being learned that VVS Laxman can be considered to replace him as the coach.
The 48-year-old has filled in as the head coach for the Men in Blue in Rahul Dravid’s absence. VVS Laxman went with the team for the bilateral series against Ireland in June 2022. He was also a part of the England tour until Dravid took over.
