In a latest news development, the all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League for atleast 1 week due to injury concerns. Sundar marked his presence in the Match 21 of IPL 2022 between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Gujarat Titans (GT).

Washington Sundar has sustained the injury between the thumb and first finger and was seen walking off the field as well. Further, he could not complete his full quota of four overs, and finished with figures of 0/14 off 3 overs. He certainly kept the things in the middle to put a brake on the run-flow of Titans. In place of him, Aiden Markram bowled one over and gave away 9 runs.

The Sunrisers pulled off a remarkable victory by defeating the Titans by 8 wickets in a pursuit to chase down the score of 162 runs. Along with the injury of Washington Sundar, the batter Rahul Tripathi also could not continue his innings due to the hamstring injury, sustained in this match.

Sundar could not be a part of the IPL 2021 UAE leg due to finger injury, while he was ruled out of India's three-match T20I series against West Indies after suffering a hamstring strain earlier this year.
