With the total of 205 to chase down in 20 overs, Kolkata Knight Riders had to make a powerful impact in the powerplay overs. KKR Shubnam Gill set his sight to attack the RCB bowlers and reached 1000 runs in IPL by slogging 21 runs in 8 balls, until the ball went towards Dan Christian.
Kyle Jamieson was already struck for 16 runs in his first 4 deliveries and Shubman Gill wanted more out of the over. Subsequently, on the next ball, the opening batsman lifted the ball in the air towards mid on, where Dan Christian ran and dived in towards his right to dismiss Gill on 21.

Glenn Maxwell decided to sit out after his fiery 78 runs innings, which gave Dan Christian a chance to came in as a substitute fielder and made a significant impact. Given that the veteran T20 player is now 37-years-old, he just justified that age is surely a number.
