Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers is currently in India amidst ongoing IPL 2025. He is set to travel to Ahmedabad to support his former IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium on June 3. Ahead of the title clash, the former cricketer was seen spending some time with Mumbai’s Wheelchair cricket team.

AB de Villiers took part in a match with Mumbai’s wheelchair team and was seen batting while sitting on a wheelchair at Islam Gymkhana, Marin Lines. After hitting a shot, De Villiers was also running between the wickets on a wheelchair.

I have no doubt Virat is going to play a big hand in the final: Ab de Villiers

AB de Villiers has backed Virat Kohli to play a big knock in the final of IPL 2025 on June 3. Kohli couldn’t contribute much in RCB’s win against Punjab Kings in the qualifier one in Mullanpur on May 29. However, De Villiers said that the star RCB batter was looking hungry to win through his body language.

“The first time I saw him (Kohli) on the screen for PBKS vs RCB game, was when he got out of the bus, and I just saw a lot of focus in that guy. That’s the typical kind of body language we’re so used to seeing. And what I love most about this is — he didn’t score runs today, but we still saw him right till the end, celebrating with the batters,” De Villiers told JioHoststar.

“The ultimate team man, and he looks very, very focused. Obviously, the job’s not done yet, but I’m very excited to watch him play. I have no doubt in my mind he’s going to play a big hand in the final,” he further added.
