
The 2025 Australian Open quarter final between Alexander Zverev and Tommy Paul took an unexpected turn when a feather disrupted the match when Zverev was preparing for a serve during the second set. After that, the German also engaged in a heater exchange with the chair umpire for replay of points because of feather on court. Notably, while Zverev was preparing for a shot in the second set, a feather came in front of his eyes due to which he lost his focus.
After that, chair umpire Nacho Forcadell, immediately called a let and ordered a replay. This frustrated Alexander Zverev as he slammed the umpire losing his cool on the field. He was quoted as saying “Are you insane? What? A feather? There’s millions of them on the court,” as shown in a viral video. Later on, Zverev was also given a warning for showing so much frustration.

With this, the German tennis star has qualified for the semi-final of the ongoing Australian Open. After winning the tie breaker round in the first two sets, Zverev went on win the fourth set and registered a dominant win over America”s Paul.
