India and Australia are currently locking horns in the second match of the four-match Test series in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. The day had a comparatively slow start but not long before with Shami striking the first wicket. The action continued with Siraj also throwing bouncer, one of which did leave Warner injured.

The on-field action also saw Ravichandran Ashwin coming close to dismissing Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne at the non-striker’s end. With Marnus at non-strikers, Ashwin stopped at delivering the ball despite taking a run-up in the 19th over of the inning on Day 1. He stopped and checked Marnus’ position who was quick to put the bat inside the crease.

However, moments later Ashwin did get his man in the 23rd over of the inning. Ashwin struck both Marnus and Steven Smith in the same over to complete a two-wicket maiden over.

Talking about the match, Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat. The Aussie batters continued to stay firm in the middle, but Usman Khawaja was the only batter to remain at the crease with Warner ( 15 ), Marnus (18) and Steve Smith (0) all going back in opening session of the day. They then went on to add 105 runs to their total of 94 in the second session with Pat Cummins and Peter Handscomb in the middle.
