What a night November 14 turned out to be for Australia. The Kangaroos lifted their maiden T20 World Cup after they handed New Zealand a defeat in the finals. Although Australia have been the most successful side in ODI World Cup, they had not been able to lift the World Cup in the shortest format of the game. Moreover, their last ICC trophy dated back to 2015 and thus, when they finally won the tournament there was pure joy and bliss in the dressing room.

There were all sorts of celebrations by the Australian players but the one which is now going viral is where there are seen drinking from a shoe. The team in Yellow could be seen dancing and having a great time after a night to remember at the Dubai International Stadium.

It is the likes of Matthew Wade, Marcus Stoinis among others who could be seen pouring their drinks into their shoes and then drinking.

Here is the video of the same shared by the ICC:

It was a great performance by the Australians in the final. After winning the toss and inviting New Zealand to bat first, the Kiwis scored 172/4 but there was a boundary-less period of 33 balls in between their innings which could have been decisive. In the run chase, after losing captain Aaron Finch early, the fifties from Mitchell Marsh and David Warner were enough to take the Kangaroos home with 8 wickets in hand and more than an over to spare.

"This is huge, to be the first Australia team to do it. So proud of how the guys went about the campaign," the winning captain Finch said before going to lift the trophy at the post-match presentation.

"Certainly was (Bangladesh game was the turning point), backs were against the wall. We had to fight and certainly did that, had some great team and individual performances," he added.

"Can't believe people wrote him (David Warner, Player of the Tournament) off a couple of weeks ago, it was almost like poking the bear," Finch stated.

"Player of the tournament for mine (Adam Zampa), controlled the game, got big wickets, super player. Mitch Marsh, what a way to start, put pressure on from the start. Matt Wade came in under an injury cloud and got the job done. He came in in the semi-final alongside Marcus Stoinis and did the business," Finch concluded before joining the team for the celebrations.
